Form-Follows-Function:
The CLX XO2 Boot is developed according to the Form-Follows-Function principle and gives your horse the perfect protection without compromising on comfort. The protector fits seamlessly on the horse's leg and only covers the horse's leg where it is needed. The shell is subtly thickened on the back and on the sides of the fetlock so that the horse's leg is optimally protected in those important places.

Exterior:
The unique thing about the shell is that it is anatomically shaped to the horse's leg. This makes the protector fit seamlessly on the leg. The unique shape of the shell provides protection where needed, but also makes the protector lighter than other protectors, by 10%! This also gives the horse unhindered freedom of movement, so your horse never feels like the protectors are in the way!
The shell is hard to protect well, but at the same time very flexible so that the shell forms nicely around the horse's leg. The cleverly placed ventilation holes ensure that the tendon stays cool.

Lining:
The protector is lined with our specially developed Air Liner, a thermo-formed lining. The composition of the material gives the lining optimal properties. The lining has an extra shock-absorbing effect due to the air that accumulates in the spaces created by the composition of the material. During the shock/blow, the air is pressed out through the extremely breathable lining and the ventilation holes. This way, your horse is optimally protected against shocks.

 Closures:
The right closures are also very important. If the protector is too loose, it can cause chafing, but if the protector is too tight, it can impede blood flow. The straps of the closures are slightly elastic and have hook and eye closures so that the tendon protector can always be secured in the right place. They conform to the curve of the shell for a streamlined whole and a good fit.
