The Gag Bit has two vertical bars on a fixed ring. These bars (gags) provide a little more side pressure (against the cheek), which makes steering a little easier. The ring of the Gag Bit is smaller than the D-gag, which creates less leverage. The upper gags of the Gag Bits from TRUST are bent slightly outwards, so that they do not pinch under the noseband.

The Sweet Iron bits are made of iron and have a recognizable blue color that is created by heating during production. Sweet Iron develops a surface rust through contact with (air) moisture that tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the horse's saliva production. This will cause the horse to foam more, which ensures better acceptance of the bit. This rust process (oxidation) changes the blue color of the TRUST bits from silver to brown-gray. This is a desired effect with the Sweet Iron bits. If a Sweet Iron bit is not used temporarily, an orange-brown rust layer may appear on the mouthpiece. This can then easily be removed by wiping the bit with a damp cloth. This orange-brown rust layer is not harmful. Sweet Iron bits are suitable for all horses and help to foam more and accept the bit better. In addition, the Sweet Iron bit has the most variations in mouthpieces, each with its own specific purpose.

A single jointed mouthpiece has one hinge point, which puts less pressure on the tongue than a double or multi jointed mouthpiece. This mouthpiece works mainly on the layers and sides of the tongue. A single jointed mouthpiece is considered a standard mouthpiece.
