Material, shape and weight are important when choosing the right bit. TRUST pays a lot of attention to these points when developing and optimising the bits. All bits are made by hand. This makes the TRUST bits unique and the quality control is very high. The most
striking is the use of the blue flamed 'sweet iron' for the
mouthpieces combined with stainless steel.
The anatomically shaped mouthpieces ensure an optimal position in the
horse mouth. The weight of a bit is also important, it should not be too light
and not be too heavy. Not too fat and not too thin.

A TRUST bit is completely handmade. All components are manually attached
welded and polished together. By heating the sweet iron for a short time
heating it gets the beautiful deep blue color. The finishing touch: the
hammering in the size stamp and the brand name.

Sweet iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) moisture
which tastes sweet and naturally stimulates saliva production.
This will cause the horse to foam more, which will ensure better
acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue
color of the TRUST bits in brown-gray.

If a sweet iron bit is not used temporarily, an orange-brown stain may appear
layer of rust on the mouthpiece.
