The water snaffle is a standard jaw piece. This jaw piece has loose rings which allow the bit to move more freely in the mouth, which is why many horses accept this bit well. Because the rings move freely, aids come through less directly than with, for example, a snaffle. To prevent skin from getting between the moving rings, it is advisable to provide the bit with bit rings.

The single jointed bit has one hinge point which puts less pressure on the tongue than a double jointed mouthpiece. A single jointed mouthpiece works mainly on the layers, the side of the tongue and can also work on the palate. A single jointed mouthpiece is considered a standard mouthpiece.

The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) moisture that tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the horse's saliva production. This will cause the horse to foam more, which ensures better acceptance of the bit. This rust process (oxidation) changes the blue color of the TRUST bits to brown-gray.
